CHARLESTON, SC—The South Carolina State softball team will step away from conference play to face Charleston Southern in a non-conference doubleheader Wednesday (April.8) inside CSU Softball Complex.

THE SERIES: Charleston Southern leads the series 32-5 dating back to 1996. The last time the two teams met was March 30, 2022, with CSU winning 12-0 (5 innings).

st game: 4 p.m., followed by 2
nd game at 6 p.m.
LAST TIMEOUT: South Carolina State captured and 2-1 series win over Norfolk State over the weekend in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) play inside Lady Bulldog Softball Field. SCSU Captured wins of 6-2, 11-5 (5 innings) before dropping a 2-1 decision in the final game.
Meanwhile, Charleston Southern dropped back-to-back league losses to Radford 0-5 (5innings), 0-1 loss, before capturing an 1-0 win in the final game.
