ORANGEBURG, SC – South Carolina State will induct ten (10) new members into its Athletic Hall of Fame Friday, during a 7 p.m. enshrinement banquet at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center. The university will also honor the 1988-89 men’s basketball championship team and the 1990-91 women’s volleyball championship squad. The inductees and teams will also be presented at halftime of the Mississippi Valley State - S.C. State – Mississippi Valley State football game Saturday. Kickoff is 6 p.m.

ORANGEBURG, SC – The South Carolina State women’s golf team carded an 18-hole team total of 343 to earned a 12-stroke win over The Citadel Thursday at the Orangeburg Country Club. The visitors fired an 18-hole total of 355.

Orangeburg, SC—The SC State women’s soccer team will host the 2010 Bulldog/Sleep Inn Classic, this Friday and Sunday, September 10 and 12, at the Oliver C. Dawson Stadium.
SC State, who enters the tournament with a 2-2-1 overall record, will host Lipscomb (3-3-0) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lady Bulldogs will close out the tournament against Alabama State (1-4-0) on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Dawson Stadium. During Saturday’s contest, SC State will celebrate Hall of Fame and Military Appreciation Day.

The Lady Bulldogs had their record leveled at 2-2-1 with the loss, while Campbell improved to 3-2-1 following the victory.

Wilmington, NC—The SC State women’s volleyball team went on 0-2 the final day of the UNCW Courtyard by Marriott Tournament. SC State finished 0-3 in the tournament and 1-6 on the season.
In its first match of the day, SC State fell to host UNC-Wilmington (UNC-W), 0-3, (19-25, 14-25, 17-25).
