DOVER, DE— The South Carolina State Softball team look to remain in the quest for a MEAC Regular Season Title when they take on host Delaware State this weekend in a three-game series beginning Saturday (April.18) inside DSU Softball Field.
First pitch is 1 p.m., followed by the second game at 3 p.m. start. Both teams will close out the series on Sunday (April.19) in a 12-noon contest.
The Lady Bulldogs (17-14 overall, 10-5 in the MEAC) is currently in 2
nd place in league standings behind Howard. SCSU is coming off a 2-1 series win over Maryland Eastern Shore in their last outing with 5-2, 8-3 wins before dropping a 0-2 defeat in the final game.
Meanwhile, the Hornets (20-16 overall, 9-6 MEAC) are one of the hottest teams in the leagues looking to add on to their 10-game winning streak after knocking off Lincoln 4-1 and 6-5 on Wednesday (April. 15).
