Softball Returns To MEAC Play At Howard

WASHINGTON, DC—The South Carolina State softball team returns to Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play in a three-game series versus Defending MEAC Champion Howard March 28-30 at the Nationals Youth Academy Field.

THE MATCHUP
SC State (11-8 overall, 6-0 MEAC) versus Howard (12-13 overall, 5-1 MEAC)
LOCATION: Nationals Youth Academy Field Washington, DC
SERIES: Howard leads 18-5 overall dating back to 2006.

A LOOK BACK:   The Bison defeated SC State 6-1 to capture the league crown in the 2025 MEAC Softball Championship game.
 
LAST TIMEOUT: South Carolina State powered over Benedict in non-conference action to capture 11-0 (5 innings) and 22-5 (5 innings) wins on the road. As a team the Lady Bulldogs connected on five (5) homeruns on the day. Meanwhile Howard captured a 3-0 series win over Delaware State at home with 7-0, 10-1 (5 innings) and 9-4 wins.

The university currently fields teams in 14 sports: women's volleyball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's indoor track & field, softball, men's and women's outdoor track and field, women's soccer and football with all teams competing in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), except for women's soccer.
