BALTIMORE, MD—South Carolina State softball returns to action over the weekend in a three-game league series versus MEAC foe Coppin State March. 21-22 inside the Coppin State Softball Complex.

The series kickoffs off in an exciting doubleheader beginning Saturday in a 1:30 p.m. start, followed by a 3 p.m. second contest.

THE MATCHUP: SC State (6-8 overall, 3-0 MEAC) enters the contest after coming off a 3-0 game sweep of Morgan State enter leagues play. Meanwhile, Coppin State (1-10 overall, 0-3 MEC) seek their first conference win after coming off an 0-3 series loss NC Central in their last outing.

BULLDOG NOTE: Morlu Earns MEAC Softball Player of the Week
Morlu (So., P/OF, Hendersonville, NC) helped lead South Carolina State to a 3–0 week, posting seven hits, five runs scored and a triple against Morgan State while batting .778. She also added three stolen bases and finished the series with a 1.000 on-base percentage and zero strikeouts. 

Next up: South Carolina State close out the series in the final game Sunday (March.22) in a 12-noon showdown inside the Coppin State Softball Complex.
