COVINGTON, GA- First-year head coach Nakeya Hall and the South Carolina State Lady Bulldog Softball Team will kick off the 2026 campaign on the road in the HBCU Collegiate Softball Invitational Feb. 13-15^th in Covington, GA.,

Some of the team participating in this event are Hampton. Texas Southern, Alabama A&M, Claflin, FAMU and South Carolina State just to name a few.

The Lady Bulldogs will begin play on Friday (Feb. 13) versus Hampton at 2:30 p.m., followed by Texas Southern at 4:45 p.m. On Saturday (Feb.14) SCSU battles Alabama A&M at 10:00 a.m. then Claflin at 12:15 p.m., before closing out play on Sunday (Feb.15) on Sunday versus FAMU at 12:15 p.m.

ABOUT SC STATE ATHLETICS 
South Carolina State University is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level intercollegiate athletic program. The university currently fields teams in 14 sports: women's volleyball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's indoor track & field, softball, men's and women's outdoor track and field, women's soccer and football with all teams competing in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), except for women's soccer.
