ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State Lady Softball team return to action Wednesday (March. 12) at home when they host College of Charleston in a non-conference doubleheader inside Lady Bulldogs Softball Field.

South Carolina State (4-7 overall) return to action after dropping four straight in the Sparkle City Invite to Eastern Kentucky (1-5, 1-2), USC-Upstate (0-10) and host Wofford (2-3).
 
BULLDOG NOTE: Three Lady Bulldogs Earn MEAC Player of the Week honors: South Carolina State junior Taylor Ames-Alexander was named MEAC Softball Player of the Week on Feb. 10., while SC State's Ciara Farrar was named Pitcher of the Week. On Feb.18^th S.C. State's Destiny Calloway was named the Pitcher of the Week.
 
Meanwhile, Charleston enters the contest at 8-14 overall, 3-0 in CAA after a 3-0 sweep of Hampton University in their last outing. The Cougars defeated Hampton (9-4, 10-2 and 7-1).
 
SCSU returns to action over the weekend when they travel to Norfolk, VA to take on Norfolk State in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) series March 15-16.
