ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State Lady Softball team return to action Wednesday (March. 12) at home when they host College of Charleston in a non-conference doubleheader inside Lady Bulldogs Softball Field.
South Carolina State (4-7 overall) return to action after dropping four straight in the Sparkle City Invite to Eastern Kentucky (1-5, 1-2), USC-Upstate (0-10) and host Wofford (2-3).
BULLDOG NOTE: Three Lady Bulldogs Earn MEAC Player of the Week honors: South Carolina State junior
Taylor Ames-Alexander was named MEAC Softball Player of the Week on Feb. 10., while SC State's
Ciara Farrar was named Pitcher of the Week. On Feb.18

Destiny Calloway was named the Pitcher of the Week.
Meanwhile, Charleston enters the contest at 8-14 overall, 3-0 in CAA after a 3-0 sweep of Hampton University in their last outing. The Cougars defeated Hampton (9-4, 10-2 and 7-1).
SCSU returns to action over the weekend when they travel to Norfolk, VA to take on Norfolk State in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) series March 15-16.
