Box Score ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State softball team dropped its season-opener to North Dakota Sunday (Feb.11^th) 9-0 at the Lady Bulldog Softball Field.

Senior Jada Richardson had a stellar defensive performance on the day going 2-2 at the plate, while sophomore Jada Lake came in to relieve starting pitcher Shana Abram in the second inning to give up no runs and four strikeouts.

South Carolina State returns to action this weekend Feb. 16-18 in the SSU Tournament held in Savannah, GA. Teams participating in the tourney are host Savannah State, Norfolk State, Howard, Alabama A&M and SC State.
