ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State women's softball team open to 2018 season on Sunday (Feb.10^th) versus North Dakota in a non-conference matchup at Lady Bulldog Softball Field. First pitch is 12 noon.

Coach Cheretta Stevenson is entering her third year at the helm of the Lady Bulldog softball program. Stevenson added World Champion and All-Pro baseball player Calvin "Pokey" Reese to her coaching staff for the upcoming season.

The Lady Bulldogs look to bounce back after a disappointing 2-39 season and return eight starters and three newcomers.

North Dakota enters the contest at 2-2 after an 11-3 victory over North Carolina A&T State on Saturday.
