DURHAM, NC—The South Carolina State softball team will close out regular season play this weekend on the road in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) three-game series at North Carolina Central at Thomas Brook Park.
The series will start with a doubleheader on Saturday (April. 27), beginning at 1 p.m., followed by a 3 p.m. start and will conclude on Sunday (April. 28) in a 12 noon first pitch.
SC State (10-26 overall, 7-11 MEAC) enters the contest after posting a sweep 3-0 of UMES in their lasting outing at home. The Lady Bulldogs are currently 5
th in league standings and will compete in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Softball Championships for the first time since 2011.
Meanwhile, NCCU (16-33 overall, 12-6 MEAC) is looking to finish strong after suffering a pair of losses to ACC foe NC State 3-13, 3-6 in their previous contest.
