ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State softball team look to turn things around when they host visiting Morgan State in a three-game series at Lady Bulldogs Softball Field.
The Lady Bears and Lady Bulldogs will get underway with a doubleheader on Friday, March 29 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., before closing out the series with a single game on Saturday at 12 p.m.
In their last outing, SC State (4-16 overall, 2-4 MEAC) dropped a tough league series to Howard (0-3) in 9-11, 4-6, 0-7 defeats. Prior to that the Lady Bulldogs captured a 2-1 series win over Norfolk State at home.
Morgan State (16-13, 5-1 MEAC) is coming off a tough 4-3 loss in eight innings at rival Towson on Tuesday. The loss ended a season-high six-game winning streak for Morgan State. Prior to the Towson contest, the Lady Bears swept visiting Maryland Eastern Shore in a three-game MEAC series, outscoring the Hawks 18-5.
Next Up: South Carolina State will battle Presbyterian College in a doubleheader on Wednesday, April 3
rd in Clinton, SC. First pitch is 2 p.m. followed by a 4 p.m. start in the second game.
