ORANGEBURG, SC – The South Carolina State Women's Softball team is set to open Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) play this week (March 14-15) versus Norfolk State in a three-game series at the Lady Bulldog Softball Field.
The Bulldogs (2-12, 0-0 MEAC) will kick off the first game with a 2 p.m. start, followed by a 4 p.m. first pitch in the second game. The series will conclude on Friday, March 15, at 11 a.m.
In their last outing, Norfolk State (21-15 overall, 6-3 MEAC), posted a series sweep over Coppin State with 7-3, 7-0, 7-6 wins. Meanwhile, SCSU split a pair of games winning the first contest 2-0 and falling short 4-8 versus Saint Peter's at home.
Next Up: South Carolina State will hit the road to take on MEAC Foe Howard University in a three-game road series in Washington, DC March 23rd-24th.
