SC State (6-19, 1-7 MEAC) led 2-0 after the first four and a half innings. NC Central (15-21, 1-7) picked up all nine of its runs in the fifth and sixth innings, fueled by three-run home runs by Emerie Germ in the fifth and Case Hargett in the sixth.

In the second game, the Lady Bulldogs wasted no time getting started. They got two runs in the top of the first inning and held a 2-0 lead until the bottom of the second. NC Central tied it at 2-all in the second, but

The Lady Bulldogs picked up a run in the fifth on an RBI double by
Deanna Sullivan and got three more in the sixth thanks in part to three NC Central errors. The Lady Eagles managed one more run in the bottom of the seventh, but it was not enough and SC State snapped its season-long 11-game losing streak.
Sullivan, Burt and

Jareece Sayles picked up her fourth win of the season after pitching a six-hit, three run complete game and striking out six batters. London Booker was on the losing end, allowing eight hits and five runs in five innings.
