ORANGEBURG, S.C. – The SC State softball team will host Maryland Eastern Shore on Wednesday in a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
 
The Lady Bulldogs (4-8) dropped a single game to Youngstown State at Lady Bulldog Field last Thursday. Maryland Eastern Shore is 0-9 on the season heading into Tuesday's doubleheader at Savannah State.
 
Mikala Johnson is hitting .424 with four doubles, one homerun and 10 RBI for the Lady Bulldogs. In the pitching circle, Kierra Cromer is 2-1 with a 5.47 earned run average and Jareece Sayles is 2-6 with a 5.58 ERA in 50.0 innings of work.
