ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State Lady Bulldogs dropped a pair of Mid-Eastern Athletic games to Bethune-Cookman Saturday at the Lady Bulldog Softball Field.
South Carolina State falls to 7-20 overall, 0-5 in the MEAC, while Bethune-Cookman improves to 15-22 overall, 5-0 in the league.
In Game 1 the Lady Wildcats defeated the Lady Bulldogs 9-1, before closing out Game 2 with a 10-4 victory to go 2-0 on the day. SC State led 3-1 midway through the contest until costly errors in the 5th inning resulted in eight unanswered runs to put Bethune-Cookman ahead.
South Carolina State will close out a three-game series against Bethune-Cookman on Sunday at noon at the Lady Bulldog Softball Field. The admission is free to the public.
