Box Score 3 GREENSBORO, NC—The South Carolina State Lady Bulldog softball team dropped their Mid-Eastern Athletic series opener to N.C. A&T, 4-2, Monday afternoon at the Lady Aggie Softball Complex.
The Lady Bulldogs fall to 7-16 overall, 0-3 in the MEAC, while the Lady Aggies improve to 11-14 overall, 3-0 in the league.
SC State opened the series over the weekend with N.C. A&T edging out a close 4-3 victory in Game 1 on Sunday, and a 6-5 victory in Game 2 in the evening contest.
Senior pitcher Vianney Gomez dropped to 3-9 on the mound during the series.
South Carolina State returns to action on Wednesday (Apr.2) in a non-conference doubleheader against visiting College of Charleston at the Lady Bulldog Softball Field. First pitch begins at 1 p.m., followed by Game 2 at 3 p.m.
