Savannah, Ga. (March 15) --SC State dropped a double-header, to Savannah State, 4-2 and 9-1. The non-conference match-up was played at the Paulson Complex in Savannah.
Savannah State (6-16) came from one run down to take the first game of the double-header 4-2.
Savannah State dominated Game Two of the double-header as they scored in all six innings played. The Lady Tigers scored one run each in the first four innings to jump out to a 4-1 lead by the bottom of the fourth. Savannah State scored two additional runs in the fifth and three in the sixth en route to its 9-1 Game Two victory.
With the loss SC State remained winless in 2011 at 0-27.
The Lady Bulldogs will return to action on next Monday, March 21 when they host Claflin. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. at Hillcrest Field in Orangeburg.
