NC CU scored two runs in the first, one run in the third, and two runs in the sixth inning to defeat SC State, 5-1 in Game Two. The Lady Bulldogs lone run came in the top of the fifth inning when Samantha Cain scored after a caught foul ball allowed her to tag up from third base.
The split puts the Lady Bulldogs record at 7-27 on the season. With the game one victory, Kimberlee Pereira improved to 4-16 while Raven Johnson fell to 3-10 with the game two loss.
The Lady Bulldogs will close out the 2009 regular season this weekend (Sat-Sun) when they travel to Tallahassee, FL to take on the Lady Rattlers of Florida A&M University in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) three-game series.
