ORANGEBURG, S.C. — South Carolina State second-year head women's basketball coach Cedric W. Baker has announced the Lady Bulldogs' 2026-27 schedule, featuring a challenging slate of nonconference opponents and Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference competition.

SC State is scheduled to play 31 regular-season games before heading to Norfolk, Virginia, for the MEAC Basketball Tournament, set for March 10-13.

"We are excited about the challenges and opportunities this schedule presents for our program," head coach Cedric W. Baker said. "We have put together a competitive schedule that will test us both at home and on the road while helping prepare our team for MEAC play. Facing different styles of competition throughout the season will give our student-athletes opportunities to grow, compete and build confidence. Our focus will be on getting better each time we take the floor, playing together and representing South Carolina State University with pride."

The Bulldogs open the season with three consecutive home contests, beginning Nov. 2 against Trinity College-Jacksonville at 7 p.m. SC State remains at home to face Bethune-Cookman on Nov. 5 and USC Upstate on Nov. 10, with both games scheduled for 7 p.m.

SC State makes its first road trip Nov. 14 when the Lady Bulldogs travel to High Point for a 7 p.m. contest before visiting Winthrop on Nov. 17. The Lady Bulldogs return to Orangeburg to host Charleston Southern on Nov. 22 at 4 p.m. before closing November with back-to-back games at South Alabama on Nov. 28 and Nov. 29 in Mobile, Alabama.

December will provide Baker's squad with one of the most demanding portions of its nonconference schedule. SC State opens the month Dec. 2 at Portland before returning home to face UNC Asheville on Dec. 5.

The Lady Bulldogs then begin a four-game road swing that includes Colorado State on Dec. 9, Mississippi Valley State on Dec. 11, Ole Miss on Dec. 12 and Georgia on Dec. 14. SC State returns to Orangeburg to host Alabama State on Dec. 17 before traveling to Tallahassee, Florida, for a Dec. 19 matchup against Florida A&M.

SC State opens the new year Jan. 2 on the road against Howard in Washington before returning home for contests against Coppin State on Jan. 7 and Morgan State on Jan. 9. The Bulldogs then travel to Charlotte to face Queens on Jan. 11.

The schedule continues with road contests at Norfolk State on Jan. 16, Delaware State on Jan. 21, Maryland Eastern Shore on Jan. 23 and North Carolina Central on Jan. 30.

SC State opens February at home against Morris College on Feb. 2 before welcoming Howard to Orangeburg on Feb. 6. The Bulldogs then hit the road for games at Coppin State on Feb. 11 and Morgan State on Feb. 13.

The Lady Bulldogs close the regular season with three consecutive home games, hosting Norfolk State on Feb. 20, Delaware State on Feb. 25 and Maryland Eastern Shore on Feb. 27 before welcoming North Carolina Central for the regular-season finale March 4 at 6 p.m.

SC State will then turn its attention to postseason play at the MEAC Basketball Tournament, scheduled for March 10-13 in Norfolk.
