NORFOLK, VA., – The South Carolina State women's basketball team will open up MEAC Tournament play versus top-ranked Howard in the opening round Wednesday (March.11) inside the Scope Arena. Tipoff is 12 noon (EST)
First year head coach Cedrick W. Baker are 5-24 overall, 2-12 in the MEAC entering today's contest.
The two teams met during the regular season with Howard (23-7 overall, 13-1 MEAC) winning both contest 64-68 (Jan. 3) and 66-85 (Feb.7) in Washington, DC.
Senior guard
Shaunice Reed is the leader averaging 10.6 points and 3.5 rebounds.
The women's championship game will tip off Saturday, March 14, at 4 p.m. and will air live on ESPNews.
The 2026 MEAC Basketball Tournament is a single-elimination competition featuring both men's and women's teams from across the conference.
