SC State Volleyball Releases 2025 Schedule

ORANGEBURG, SC---The South Carolina State women's volleyball team released its 2025 schedule Thursday (July. 31). The 27-match slate includes nine (9) home matches and two tournaments.

Third-year head coach Melissa Paige's team will open the season on the road in the 2025 Betty K Invitational in Huntsville, AL vs host Alabama A&M (Aug. 29) 1 p.m., and Southern (Aug. 29), 5 p.m., followed by Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Aug. 30th) at 2:00 p.m.

The Lady Bulldogs will remain on the road with a pair of contests at Kennesaw State on Sept. 5th & 6th with TBA.

SCSU will embark on its second tournament at the Bethune-Cookman Invitational in Daytona Beach, FL beginning with host Bethune-Cookman on Sept. 12 noon 12:30 p.m. and Jacksonville University at 4:00 p.m., followed Charleston Southern on Sept.12th in an 11:00 a.m. start.

A return home to the Garden City will pit the Lady Bulldogs against neighboring Claflin on Sept.15th at 6 p.m. Back-to-back road trips at Georgia Southern (Sept.18) at 6:00 pm and Charleston Southern (Sept. 23) at 6:00 pm will close out non-conference play before MEAC action begins.

Paige and the Lady Bulldogs open Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) play with three-straight home contests, including Maryland-Eastern Shore (Sept. 26) at 6:00 p.m., Delaware State (Sept. 28) at 1:00 p.m. and a non-conference matchup with Allen University (Oct.1) at 7:00  on "Greek Night".

SC State returns to the road for a trip to Baltimore, MD and league showdowns with Morgan State (Oct. 5th) at 3:00 p.m. and Coppin State (Oct.6th) at 6:00 p.m. A four-game home stand inside Duke Gymnasium follows, starting with league foes Norfolk State (Oct.10th) at 6:00 p.m., which will highlight the "Dig Pink Match," Howard (Oct. 12th) at 1:00 p.m., NC Central (Oct. 17th) at 6:00 p.m. which will highlight the "Pack The Gym" and non-conference opponent Claflin (Oct. 22) at 6:00  highlight the "Black Out|Wear Black".

With seven MEAC contests remaining on the schedule, SCSU returns to the road for a battle with UMES (Oct. 24th) at 6:00 p.m. at Princess Anne, MD and a contest with Delaware State (Oct. 26) at 1:00 p.m. in Dover, DE.

Coppin State (Oct. 31) and Morgan State (Nov.2), "Senior Day," will visit Orangeburg for a pair of league matches, before the Lady Bulldogs finish off their road schedule at Norfolk State (Nov.7) at 6:00 p.m. in Norfolk, VA; Howard (Nov.9) at 1:00 p.m.in Washington, DC, followed by NC Central (Nov.14) at 6:00 p.m. in Durham, NC.

The 2025 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Volleyball Championship will be held Nov. 21-23 in Baltimore, MD.

ABOUT SC STATE ATHLETICS
South Carolina State University is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level intercollegiate athletic program. The university currently fields teams in 14 sports: women's volleyball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's indoor track & field, softball, men's and women's outdoor track and field, women's soccer and football with all teams competing in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), except for women's soccer.
