About the Lady Bulldogs
After claiming their first two games of the season, the Bulldogs have now dropped four on the jump prior to their contest with the Knights. A two-point defeat to Charleston Southern precedes the first all-time meeting between the two programs, as South Carolina State has been defeated in its last three by a combined 22 points. While the results haven't been going the visitor's way, they still rank among the best in the nation in steals per game (14.5, 16) and turnovers forced per game (24.83, 19).
 
Looking at the Knights
The Knights produced a historic shooting clip against Florida A&M in their convincing 76-59 triumph on Nov. 21, connecting on 55.1% of field goal attempts, a mark that ranks 11th in program history and the best percentage under head coach Sytia Messer. The performance was the best shooting performance since a March 2, 2020 contest with Wichita State (56.1). UCF's previous best under Messer came in a Dec. 19, 2023 triumph over Morgan State (54.8).
