CHARLESTON, SC—The South Carolina State women's basketball team return to action Sunday (Dec. 4) on the road against the Lady Buccaneers of Charleston Southern at the Buc Dome in a 2 p.m. non-conference matchup.
In their last outing, South Carolina State (3-2) posted an impressive 72-35 victory over St. Andrews Thursday (Dec. 1) at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center. Graduate guard
Bryeasha Blair led the way with a team-high 25 points, while sophomore foward
JaQuanna Murray and Orangeburg native matched her career-high with 13 points and added seven rebounds and a game-high three blocks, while
Brittany Drumgoole finished with 10 points, eight boards and five assists.
Murray leads SC State with a total of 33 rebounds this season for an average of 6.8, while also recording 15 blocks for the season with an averages 3 blocks per game.
Meanwhile, Charleston Southern (3-2) is coming off an impressive 67-52 win over Limpscomb in Nashville, TENN. The Lady Bucs are led by redshirt senior guard Alyssa Man with 16.2 ppg and teammate sophomore guard Ke'Asia Jackson adds 12.0 points per outing.
