WASHINGTON – South Carolina State women's basketball look to turn things around and get back on the winning track Saturday (Feb.6) when they take on host Howard in a pivotal MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) clash. Tipoff is schedule for 2 p.m., inside Burr Gymnasium (2,700).
 
On Jan. 3, the two teams met to kicked off the conference schedule in Orangeburg, S.C., and the Bison came away with a tough 68-64 win.

 SOUTH CAROLINA STATE: SC State (5-16, 2-4 MEAC) fell, 73-53, to Maryland Eastern Shore at home Wednesday (Feb. 4) for its third straight loss. Angie Justin Jean led SCSU with 13 points.
 
HOWARD: On Jan. 31, senior forward Nile Miller (Woodbury, N.J.) scored eight of her 10 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Bison to a 68-59 win over rival Norfolk State at Burr Gymnasium.
 
THE COACHES :SC State is coached by Cedric W. Baker (Voorhees, '90), who is in his first season at the helm. Howard is led by Ty Grace (New Haven, '99), who is in her 11^th season and the second winningest coach in school history.
 
SERIES RECORD: Howard has won 11-in-a-row, including a 68-64 squeaker (Jan. 3) in Orangeburg, S.C. The Bulldogs last won, 72-63, in Orangeburg (January 2019). Howard maintains a 16-8 advantage in the series, dating back to 2006.
