CHARLESTON, SC—The South Carolina State women's volleyball drop a tough 1-3 decision on the road to host Charleston Southern Tuesday (Sept.23) night inside Buccaneer Fieldhouse.
Despite the loss, the Lady Bulldogs (2-9) pushed Charleston Southern to limits by winning the third (3
rd) set 25-19, before dropping the first(1
st) 10-25, second (2
nd) 26-28 and fourth(4
th) 14-15.
Leading the way for SCSU in kills was
Kiyah Felder with nine (9),
McKinley Roach with five (5), while in assists were
Macey McCoy added 11 and
Arianna James six (6).
Miya Benson was the leader in digs with a team-high 20 along with
Robyn White with 10.
Roach also added six (6) blocks and
Hailey Harris and
Jade Robinson four (4) respectively in the loss.
NEXT UP: South Carolina State will open Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play at home this weekend when they take on UMES on Friday (Sept. 26) inside Dukes Gym. First serve is 6:00 p.m.
