ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State women's soccer team reached a milestone early in the 2025 season knocking off Alabama State 1-0 Friday night (Aug.22), the first shutout victory since 2019 over a Division I opponent inside Oliver Dawson on Willie Jeffries Field.
BULLDOG NOTE: The last time SC State posted a shutout win over a Division I opponent was September 8
th, 2019 versus Alcorn State on the road.
South Carolina State improves to 1-1 on the season, while ASU falls to 0-2.

Kayla Moses tallied her 2
nd goal of the campaign from an assist by Kyndall Jenkins. Sophomore goalkeeper collects her first shutout of the season.
NEXT UP: South Carolina State returns to action on Monday (Aug.25) at home versus Stetson in an 3:00 pm start.
