BALTIMORE, MD—South Carolina State made a major move in conference play snapping a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) losing streak knocking off Morgan State 3-1 (25-14,11-25, 25-23, 25-22) Sunday (Oct.6) inside Hill Field House.
South Carolina State (2-12 overall, 1-3 MEAC) post their first league since 2015.
In a team effort the Lady Bulldog dominated in several categories including points (58.0-54.0), kills (44-40), blocks (8-3), assist (40-35) and digs (45-41).
With the win South Carolina State finished 1-1 over the weekend after dropping a tough 0-3 loss to Coppin State on Friday (Oct. 4).
NEXT UP: South Carolina State will play a mid-season non-conference matchup with intrastate rival Allen on Wednesday (Oct. 9) in Columbia, SC at 6 p.m
