CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The defending MEAC Champion South Carolina State women's tennis team return to action Friday (Feb. 3
rd) on the road at Charlotte at the LifeTime Fitness.
The Niners (3-3) will host South Carolina State (1-0) at 11 a.m. before welcoming Gardner-Webb (0-0) at 4 p.m. Both matches will have live stats available

LAST TIME OUT
Charlotte had a split in two matches at the ITA Kickoff Weekend in Chapel Hill last weekend. The 49ers dispatched Utah 4-0 in the first match on Friday before falling to national No. 2 North Carolina by the same score on Saturday. Not all was lost on Saturday as
Lucie Petruzelova had quite the performance in an unfinished match at the fourth singles flight, taking the first set from No. 5-ranked Abbey Forbes, 6-4, with the second set sitting at 1-1 when the match was clinched.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
South Carolina State is 1-0 this season after defeating Benedict College two weeks ago in its only action of the season so far. The Bulldogs finished 9-9 a season ago and ran the table in the MEAC tournament for their third consecutive MEAC title and a berth in the NCAA Tournament where they fell to top overall seed North Carolina.
