Rakeim Gary tossed in a team-high 18 points and six (6) assists, but it wasn't enough as South Carolina State dropped an tough, 88-85, Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) defeat to Delaware State Monday (Jan.23
rd) in Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.
South Carolina State falls to 3-18 overall, 0-5 in the MEAC, while Delaware State improves to 2-16 overall, 1-4 in the league.
Turnovers seemed to be the deciding factor the stretch, with the Bulldogs posting a lofty team-high 21 to the Hornets 15 on the night.
Forward
Davion Everett posted the games only double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, while
Raquan Brown finished with 12 points and four rebounds and
Lesown Hallums, Jr. added 11 points and six rebounds in the loss.
