Jordan Simpson tossing in a team-high 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds, but it wasn't enough as South Carolina State dropped an tough 82-68 MEAC contest to Norfolk State Saturday (Jan.28
th) at Echols Memorial Hall
South Carolina State falls to 3-19 overall, 0-6 in the MEAC, while Norfolk State improves to 14-7 overall, 4-2 in the league.
Rahsaan Edwards added 13 points, while Raquan Brown chipped in 10 in the loss.
The Spartans were led by last year's MEAC Player of the Year Joe Bryant with a game-high 23 points and nine rebounds, while Dana Tate added 21 in the win.
