LEXINGTON, VA—The South Carolina State women's soccer team fell short of their first win of the season in a 2-1 defeat to Virginia Military Institute Sunday (Sept. 25
th) at Patchin Field.

Liz-Amanda Brown and the Lady Bulldogs played tough throughout the way with a
Kayla Moses goal and assist by
Amari Thomas at the 61:35 mark to tie the score 1-1.
VMI's Sedona Dancu scored the game winner late in the second half to seal the victory.
First-year goalkeeper Denim Whitted finished with a team-high 10 saves on the day.
NEXT UP South Carolina State returns home to host Shaw University in a 1 pm. Start Sunday, Oct. 2
nd at Oliver C. Dawson Stadium/Willie Jeffries Field.
