DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.—The South Carolina State women's basketball team will play their regular season road finale Saturday (March 2
nd) against Bethune-Cookman at Moore Gymnasium. Tip-off is 2 p.m.
IN THE MEAC: South Carolina State is currently in 5
th place in the MEAC with a 7-7 league record and 14-14 overall. Meanwhile, the Lad Wildcats are in 3
rd place at 10-4 in the MEAC with a 17-9 overall worksheet.
North Carolina A&T State has already clinched the top-seed in the upcoming Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Tournament March 11-16
th at the Scope in Norfolk, VA.
LAST TIME: The last time the two teams met BC-U won the first meeting, 69-64, on Feb. 16
th in Orangeburg, SC. Senior guard led the way with a team-high 16 points, while junior forward
Taylor Brown added 15 in the loss.
SC State is coming off an impressive, 62-50, road win over NCCU on Monday. The Lady Bulldogs has one game remaining at home—March 7
th against visiting Savannah State in the regular season finale.
Brown is the leader for SCSU with 13.8 ppg and 8.7 rebounds, while Beamon is second 11.0 points per outing. BC-U is led by Angel Golden at 19.4 points and Kiana Williams at 12.1 and 5.5 rebounds per contest.
