WILMINGTON, NC--- The South Carolina State women's basketball team look to rebound this week on the road Saturday (Nov. 16
th) against UNC-Wilmington inside Trask Coliseum. Tip-off is slated for 2:05 p.m.
UNCW leads the All-Time series versus South Carolina State 7-0. Last time the two teams met UNCW defeated SC State 67-49 on December 29
th, 2006.
LAST TIMEOUT: South Carolina State dropped a tough, 60-54, to Radford at home (Nov.12
th). Junior forward
Jayah Hicks finished with 15 points and seven rebounds, while
Heniaya Moton added 10 points and five rebounds in the loss.
Meanwhile UNCW, is looking for their first win of the season after dropping an 58-59 decision at Longwood University. The Seahawks are led by GiGi Smith with 19.7 ppg and 5.0 rebounds. Lacey Suggs and Ahyiona Vason chips in 6.3 points each per outing.
The Lady Bulldogs are led by Moton with 15.7 points while senior forward
Taylor Brown adds 13.5 ppg and 11.5 rebounds.
Next up South Carolina State returns action at home Tuesday (Nov. 19
th) when they host College of Charleston in an 6:30 p.m. tip-off at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.
