ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State women's basketball team look to keep up their winning ways when they host Winthrop University in an non-conference matchup Saturday (Dec.1^st) at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center. Tip-off is 2 p.m.

WINTHROP AT A GLANCE
The Eagles snapped a three-game losing skid Thursday at Charleston after a 71-64 vicitory. Junior guard Miquela Santoro tossed in a team-high 17 points and sophomore guard Anika Riley added 12 points  and 11 rebounds in the win. Winthrop continues to get solid production out of its young players.  Freshman Kem Nwabudu has averaged 9.5 points per game this season and has scored in double figures in three of the last four contests.  She is also tied for the team lead with 6.3 rebounds per game. Riley has had a strong sophomore campaign, averaging eight points and 6.3 rebounds per game.

SCOUTING SOUTH CAROLINA STATE
The Bulldogs are 3-4 on the season and posted an impressive 71-66 victory over USC-Upstate on Wednesday.  Senior guard Ester Udonsi posted the teams only double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds, while teammates Rhein Beamon and Jakayvea Akins added 15 each in the win.

ALL-TIME AGAINST SOUTH CAROLINA STATE
The Eagles and Bulldogs will meet for the 22^nd time Sunday afternoon.  SC State holds a 15-6 lead in the series.  The two squads met at the Winthrop Coliseum last year with the Bulldogs taking a 65-37 victory.  Winthrop's last win over SC State came in December of 2011, a 67-59 win at home.

South Carolina State returns to action on Monday Dec. 3^rd, when they host Bob Jones University in a non-conference matchup beginning at 6 p.m. at S-H-M.
