CHARLESTON, S.C. –The South Carolina State Lady Bulldogs return to the road again Monday (Dec.11th ) in a 12 noon showdown with Charleston Southern at the Buc Dome. The game will be streamed live on the Big South Network.
CSU will host "Education Day" Local elementary schools are invited to join the Bucs for a morning of fun with a meet-n-greet, followed by lunch with the Bucs, activities, freebies and more.
THE SERIES: Charleston Southern is 7-15 all-time against South Carolina State with the Buccaneers winning the last meeting, 67-62, on December 4, 2016.
LAST TIMEOUT: SC State is 1-2 in the last three contests suffering defeats to Georgia Southern (58-61) and USC Upstate (44-63), before getting an impressive 82-38 victory over Columbia International during the three-game stretch.
Bryeasha Blair leads SCSU in scoring with 10.8 points per game. Kyesha Lewis (9.3 ppg) and Kemoni Jenkins (8.7 ppg) also pace the Bulldogs in scoring. Jasmine Williams leads South Carolina State with 8.5 rebounds per game, while
Chantel Williams leads the team with 3.2 assists per game.
Meanwhile, Charleston Southern looks to rebound after coming off three straight defeats on the road after falling to Clemson, 66-30, on December 2. The Bucs fell at FIU, 77-70, on November 26 and dropped a 62-43 decision to Hartford on November 25 at the FIU Thanksgiving Tournament.
Junior guard Njeri Nelms leads for the Bucs in scoring with 10.3 points per game. Shelby Wilbanks adds 8.5 points and 4.7 rebounds, while Rachel Burns is the leader on the boards with 7.3 per outing.
