COLUMBIA, SC – The Lady Bulldogs of South Carolina State, following a short holiday break, will resume their schedule Tuesday when they meet Columbia International University in a 7 p.m. contest at the Moore Fitness Center I Columbia.
Coach Doug Robertson's team hopes to get back on the winning track after dropping a last-second 61-58 home decision to Georgia Southern Nov. 21, while the host Rams will be looking for their first win of the season after losing their first six starts.
Senior
Bryeasha Blair is the top scorer for SC State with a 12.3 average. She is followed by juniors Kyesha Lewis (9.8 ppg), Kemoni Jenkins (7.5 ppg) and Jasmine Williams (7.5 ppg), all newcomers to the Lady Bulldog squad. Williams leads Robertson's squad on the boards with 10 rebounds each outing.
The Rams, who last played Nov. 21 when they suffered a 67-58 home setback to Warren Wilson, are led by juniors Semoine Frasier and Jordan Spruell, who are scoring at a 14.3 and 13.5 clip per game, respectively. Senior Raven Fleming is the Rams' top rebounder with 11.5 per game to go along with an 11.8 scoring average.
