Bryeasha Blair tossed in a game-high 19 points, but it wasn't enough as South Carolina State fell short 56-48 Monday (Nov. 13
th) night at Littlejohn Coliseum.
Newcomer Kyesha Lewis added 17 points and six rebounds off the bench, while junior forward Jaquanna Murray grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds in the loss.
Lewis pulled the Lady Bulldogs within a basketball nailing a three-pointer with 13 seconds remaining in the third quarter to cut the lead to 33-31. Clemson rallied back off two free-throws by Jaia Alexander to push he lead to four points heading into the fourth quarter.
Danielle Edwards poured in 12 points during a fourth quarter run for Clemson to seal the victory. Edwards finished with 16 on the night, while Kobi Thorton tossed in a team-high 18 points and six rebounds.
