Box Score ORANGEBURG, S.C. – The South Carolina State women's basketball team routed St. Andrews University in a 72-35 win on Thursday evening at the S-H-M Memorial Center.
Bryeasha Blair scored a game-high 25 points in her third straight game scoring over 20 points.
JaQuanna Murray matched her career-high with 13 points and added seven rebounds and a game-high three blocks, while
Brittany Drumgoole finished with 10 points, eight boards and five assists.
Blair started the scoring for the game when she hit a 3-pointer 15 seconds into the game. She closed out the first quarter by knocking down her second trey with 1:12 left in the period to give SC State (3-2) a 22-13 lead.
St. Andrews (3-5) was held scoreless for over seven minutes between the first and second quarters. A 3-pointer by Victoria Washington at the 4:07 mark accounted for the only points the Lady Knights scored in the second period. SC State went into halftime up 47-16.
The Lady Knights managed just 19 second-half points and were down by as many as 42 points (61-19) in the final 20 minutes of the game.
Kayla Johnson led St. Andrews with 10 points and five rebounds.
As a team, SC State edged St. Andrews 49-33 in rebounding, forced 19 turnovers and held the Lady Knights to 23 percent (13-of-56) shooting for the game.
All nine Lady Bulldogs who played finished with at least two points and one rebound.
