Box Score DOVER, Del. – The South Carolina State women's basketball team fell 79-61 to Delaware State on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Hall. DSU improves to 7-13 overall and 4-3 in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play, while SC State drops to 8-11, 4-5.
Brittany Drumgoole paced the Lady Bulldogs with 13 points.

Amber Howard and
Jazzmine Johnson each finished with 10 points.
Jasmine Coleman had nine points, nine rebounds and a season-high and career-high-tying four blocks. Defensively,
JaQuanna Murray tallied seven rebounds and a career-high five blocks. Howard dished out a game-high six assists.
SC State took a quick 5-2 lead after a 3-pointer by Drumgoole with 7:45 left in the first quarter. The Lady Bulldogs broke an 8-all tie on a jumper by Grier at the 4:53 mark, but the Lady Hornets answered on the other end with a 3-pointer by N'Kayah Kersey 35 seconds later to take a 11-10 lead. DSU led for the remainder of the game.
The Lady Hornets went into halftime up 33-23 and led 55-48 after the third quarter. DSU got hot to start the final period and went on a 20-7 run to start the quarter. The Lady Hornets led by as many as 22 (79-57) in the final period.
NaJai Pollard and Kersey both had 14 points for DSU. Mikah Aldridge finished with 12 points, while Nikkei Blackburn had a double-double of 11 points and 11 boards.
The Lady Bulldogs return to the Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center on Saturday when they host Coppin State. Tip-off is at 2 p.m.
