ORANGEBURG, S.C. – The SC State women's soccer team had its first exhibition game of the pre-season this past Saturday at Oliver C. Dawson Stadium. They took on Montreat College and played three 30-minute periods.
The Lady Bulldogs looked good on offense and defense and scored one goal in each period. Defensively, they shut out the Lady Cavaliers and limited them to fewer than five shots on goal for the entire exhibition.
Senior midfielder
Dominique Brown scored in the first and third periods, while freshman goalie Mahogany Brown scored in the second period. Brown played the entire game as a midfielder while junior
Katelyn Kern handled the goalkeeping duties.
SC State travels to Beaufort, S.C. for an exhibition game at USC Beaufort on Wednesday at 11 a.m.
