ORANGEBURG, S.C. — South Carolina State women's soccer returns home Saturday when the Lady Bulldogs host Southern Wesleyan University in a Senior Day matchup at Willie Jeffries Field inside Oliver C. Dawson Stadium.
 
Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m., with SC State recognizing its senior class as part of the afternoon's festivities.
 
The Lady Bulldogs enter the contest looking to close out the month of September with a strong performance in front of their home crowd. SC State is 0-9-1 through its first 10 matches, with its lone result coming in a scoreless draw at Jacksonville on Sept. 9.
 
PLAYERS TO WATCH
SC State will look to Emmi Sullivan to provide an offensive spark. Sullivan leads the Bulldogs with one goal and two points through 10 appearances. She has recorded four shots, placing three on goal for a team-best .750 shots-on-goal percentage among players with multiple attempts.
 
Aaliyah Silver has been the Bulldogs' most active offensive threat in terms of shot production. Silver leads SC State with 12 shots through 10 matches and has put two attempts on frame. Denive Guy-Williams ranks second on the team with six shots and has placed two on goal, while Victoria Coleman has recorded five attempts.
 
Liya Ferguson has also contributed offensively, recording the Bulldogs' lone assist of the season. Ferguson has appeared in nine matches and has one point.
 
Defensively, goalkeeper Jada Gittings has been a key presence for SC State. Gittings has played 745 minutes, 43 seconds in goal and has recorded 67 saves with a .705 save percentage. She also has one shutout, which came in the Bulldogs' 0-0 draw at Jacksonville.
 
As a team, South Carolina State has registered 46 shots and 14 shots on goal while recording 18 corner kicks through 10 matches.
 
Saturday's contest provides the Lady Bulldogs another opportunity to build offensive momentum while honoring the seniors who have contributed to the program.
