NORFOLK, VA – South Carolina State guard Kourtney Williams has been named to the 2014 All-MEAC team. The 5-9 junior of Warren, OH was earned Third-Team honors on the prestigious squad, which was led by Florida A&M's Jasmine Grice, who earned Player of the Year accolades.

Williams led the Lady Bulldogs in scoring with a 15.1 average. She was the league's leading scorer early in the campaign, scoring over 21 points per game before an injury against Hampton led to two missed games and slowed her the rest of the way.

Williams and her teammates open play at the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Tournament Tuesday against Bethune-Cookman. Tip off is set for 1:30 p.m. at The Scope. The Lady Bulldogs, the 10th seed, finished the regular season 7-19 and 5-11 in the MEAC.
