Box Score ORANGEBURG, S.C. – The South Carolina State women's basketball team got its second straight win on Friday night after beating Columbia College 97-55 at the Smith-Hamilton-Middleton Memorial Center.
Senior guard
Kourtney Williams led SC State (2-0) in scoring for the second time this season with a game-high 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the floor and 5-of-6 shooting from the free-throw line.
The Lady Bulldogs led for the entire game. The closest Columbia College (4-4) got was within two (6-4) at the beginning for the first half. SC State took a 25-point lead (53-28) into halftime.
The Koalas could not overcome the large first half deficit and managed just 27 points in the second period.
For the game, Columbia College was 17-of-47 from the floor (36.2 percent) and had 45 turnovers. SC State shot 46.5 percent for the game (33-of-71) and had 23 steals. Both teams grabbed 42 rebounds apiece.
Azia Gibson led Columbia College with 19 points and 11 rebounds. BriAnna Johnson also scored in double figures with 12 points.

Jazzmine Johnson,
Ashleigh Outler, and
Jamella Smith all scored 10 points for the Lady Bulldogs.
Jasmine Coleman added eight points and eight boards.
SC State returns to play on Tuesday in a 6 p.m. matchup against USC-Upstate.
