Box Score ORANGEBURG, SC – South Carolina State placed five players in double figures, led by
Kourtney Williams' game-high 23 points, in earning a 104-69 nonconference win over visiting Southern Wesleyan Monday night at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.

The 104 points were also the most for Coach Doug Robertson's team this season and the highest point total since a 94-46 triumph over Southern Wesleyan last year.
Robertson's team improved to 3-8 (1-0 MEAC) on the year and remained perfect at home in three outings.
Following Williams in the scoring column for SC State was
Cabriel Duren with 20 points and a team-high seven rebounds. MyKala Jones came off the bench for 19 points, connecting on 7-9 attempts, including 4-6 from behind the arc.
Persephone Goodwin added 14 points and
Cherisha Floyd 10 in the victory.
The Lady Warriors, who dropped to 3-8, were led by reserve Kiara Coleman with 13 points. Brooke Strickland, another reserve, added 12 points, while Christina Perkins – who played for SC State before transferring to Southern Wesleyan two years ago – and Chelsie Waters contributed 11 points each. Perkins and Michelle Anaya had seven rebounds each for Southern Wesleyan, which matched the Lady B Bulldogs on the boards with 36 rebounds.
The Lady Bulldogs took control early and built a 57-43 lead at the half. SC State led by as many as 18 in the opening period in which Williams had 16 of her total and Duren 13 of her final tally.
The visitors closed the gap to 59-50 with 17:38 to play but a 21-2 SC State run, which included four Lady Bulldog 3-pointers -- two by Jones -- gave the host an 80-52 lead with 11:36 to play. SC State's biggest lead was 38 points – 104-66 – when
Brittany Andersen, who finished with seven points, canned a 3-pointer in the final seconds.
