SC State Women’s Volleyball Falls to Indiana University at the Hampton Inn/College of Charleston Invitational

Sr., Alyse Lewis recorded six kills-four blocks in the match

Box Score Charleston, S.C.—The SC State women's volleyball team fell to Indiana University, 0-3, (13-25, 22-25, 16-25), in their first match of the Hampton Inn/College of Charleston Invitational. The tournament, which concludes tomorrow (Sat., Sept. 7), is being contested at the TD Arena on the campus of College of Charleston.

Junior Erica Pritchett had seven kills while seniors Desire Waller and Alyse Lewis each recorded six kills in the match for SC State, who fell to 0-4. Waller also had a team-high eight digs and Lewis put back a match-high four blocks (two solos-two assists) in the contest. Sophomore Melanie Williams put up 18 assists while freshmen Alexis Moses and Victoria Ferguson each picked up six digs in the contest.

The Lady Bulldogs will face host College of Charleston at 1 p.m. on tomorrow and will close out the tournament with Coastal Carolina at 4:30 p.m. Live stats for both games can be viewed at http://www.cofcsports.com/liveStats/liveStats.dbml.
