SC State Women’s Basketball Face Georgia in the First of Six Straight Road Games
Orangeburg, S.C.—The SC State women's basketball team will travel to Athens, Ga., tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov. 26, to take on the Bulldogs of the University of Georgia. This will be the first of six straight road games that will end on December 22 at the University of South Carolina.

SC State enters tomorrow's contest with a 1-2 overall record after picking up its first win of the season last Thursday (Nov. 21) versus Presbyterian. For the third straight game Kourtney Williams led the Lady Bulldogs in scoring with 18. Williams is leading the team in scoring with 22 points while Persephone Goodwin is the leading rebounder at 8.7 boards per outing.

Georgia comes into the game undefeated at 5-0. In their last outing they defeated Georgia Tech, 63-56. Khaalidah Miller scored 20 points and Shacobia Barbee dropped in 14 points with seven rebounds in the win. On the season, Miller and Krista Donald are leading the team in scoring and rebounding at 12.8 and 9.4, respectively.

The Lady Bulldogs will travel to the College of Charleston on Saturday, Nov. 30, before taking a break from competition during exam week. SC State will resume the six-game road swing on Saturday, December 14 when they travel to Clemson University. SC State will face Alabama A&M (12-17), Jacksonville State (12-19) and South Carolina (12-22) before returning home to open its 2013-14 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play against the University of Maryland Eastern Shore on December 30.
