SC State women's basketball take on Clemson on Sunday

Orangeburg, S.C.—The SC State women's basketball will return to action this Sunday, Dec. 9 when they head up to Clemson, S.C. to take on the Lady Tigers of Clemson University. The non-conference matchup is set for a 2 p.m. tip-off at the Littlejohn Coliseum on the campus of Clemson University. SC State will enter the contest with a 5-2 overall record. The Lady Bulldogs pulled out the 62-59 overtime victory against Norfolk State on Monday (Dec. 3). Redshirt-freshman Mykala Jones led four players in double-figures with a game-high 17 points. Senior Tiara Knotts continues to lead the Lady Bulldogs in scoring on the season at 15.9 points per game. Senior center Paris Alston is averaging 9.4 points and 7.1 rebounds for SC State.

Clemson, who is led by Danaejah Grant with 13.4 points per outing, brings a 1-6 overall record into the contest. Nikki Dixon is averaging 11.3 points and Jonquel Jones is leading the team in rebounding at 9.4 boards per contests.
