Outdoor Track & Field Teams Open Season On The Road

SAVANNAH, GA—The South Carolina State men's and women's outdoor track teams will open the 2026 Saturday (March. 7th) on the road in the Savannah State University Opener inside the Theodore A. Wright Stadium, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
 
Coach Cooper's team will compete tentatively compete in seven (7) outdoor meets this season, beginning with the Savannah State Opener (March. 7th), followed by Moorehouse Relays/Multi (March .26) in Atlanta, GA; the ERAU Classic/Multi in Daytona, Beach, FL on April 2nd -4th, the South Florida Invitational in Tampa, Fla. , April 10-11th , the lone home meet with the annual Sharond Coleman-Singleton Classic in Orangeburg, SC on April. 18th, the Charlotte Invite in Charlotte, NC on April 24th -25th and to close out the regular season the at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Fla. On May 1st-2nd.

The MEAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held in Norfolk, VA May. 14th -16th.

ABOUT SC STATE ATHLETICS 
South Carolina State University is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level intercollegiate athletic program. The university currently fields teams in 14 sports: women's volleyball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's indoor track & field, softball, men's and women's outdoor track and field, women's soccer and football with all teams competing in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), except for women's soccer.
