ORANGEBURG, S.C. — South Carolina State Athletics joins the nation in celebrating
National Coaches Day, recognizing the dedicated coaches who lead, mentor and inspire Bulldog student-athletes across the department's
15 varsity sports.
National Coaches Day provides an opportunity to honor the men and women who devote countless hours to developing student-athletes both in competition and in life. At SC State, coaches play an important role in building championship programs while emphasizing academic achievement, discipline, character, leadership and service.
From practices and game preparation to recruiting, academic support and personal development, Bulldog coaches continue to make a lasting impact on the student-athletes they serve.
"National Coaches Day gives us an opportunity to recognize the commitment and sacrifices our coaches make every day," Oliver " Buddy" Pough, Director of Athletics said. "Their influence reaches far beyond wins and losses. They are teachers, mentors and leaders who help prepare our student-athletes for success during their time at South Carolina State and beyond."
SC State Athletics proudly recognizes the coaches representing its 15 varsity sports and thanks each staff for its commitment to the university, student-athletes and Bulldog Nation.
Happy National Coaches Day from South Carolina State Athletics!
