ORANGEBURG, S.C. — South Carolina State women's volleyball returns to action Sunday, Oct. 4, when the Bulldogs host Morgan State in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) matchup at 1 p.m. inside Dukes Gymnasium.
SC State (4-14, 0-3 MEAC), led by interim head coach Chymaine Guinyard, looks to secure its first conference victory and build momentum on its home court.
The Bulldogs are led offensively by
Kenna Harris, who has recorded a team-high 153 kills, averaging 2.47 per set.
Amani Hawkins follows with 130 kills, while
Ki'ra Wright has contributed 101 kills and 189 digs. Defensively,
Jordan Dalland leads the team with 190 digs, and
Taelyn Graham has registered a team-best 39 blocks.
Morgan State (2-13, 1-2 MEAC) enters the contest following a five-set loss to North Carolina Central. Jada Williams leads the Bears with 147 kills, followed by Michaela Panekova with 138. Setter Isabelle Brown directs the offense with 393 assists and a team-high 20 service aces.
The matchup features SC State's defensive effort, which averages 13.68 digs per set, against a Morgan State squad averaging 1.96 blocks per set.
The Bulldogs will look to capitalize on their home-court advantage and deliver a strong performance in front of Bulldog Nation.
Sunday's contest will be broadcast live on the MEAC Network.
